GAR is located in a pair of radically reimagined and rebuilt industrial structures on the edge of downtown Galveston. The GAR Gallery and courtyards host various public programs such as art exhibitions, film screenings, performances, open studios, lectures, etc.
The resident studios are approximately 500sq/ft with high ceilings, lots of natural light, and wifi. While there are no media specific workshop or lab spaces, the indivudual studios can be set up to accomodate a wide variety of practices.
The studio buidling has a shared kitchen area and is connected to both of our outdoor courtyards.
